Martina Kamm, Migrationsexpertin
Nach Abschluss des Studiums der Germanistik, Soziologie und Sozialpsychologie an der Universität Zürich arbeitete ich während mehrerer Monate bei der Kulturabteilung der UNESCO (United Nations Education, Science and Culture Organisation) in Paris. Anschliessend war ich von 1997–2000 bei der Menschenrechtsorganisation Amnesty International AI in Bern angestellt: zunächst als Projektleiterin, dann als Leiterin der Abteilung «Kampagnen». Von Bern aus zog es mich weiter in die Westschweiz, nach Neuenburg. Dort war ich von 2001 – 2009 wissenschaftliche Mitarbeiterin am Schweizerischen Forum für Migrations- und Bevölkerungsstudien SFM der Universität Neuenburg.
Seit 2009 arbeite ich als Freelancerin in Zürich. Meine Arbeits- und Forschungsschwerpunkte umfassen die Themen Migration und Literatur, Asyl und irreguläre Migration, Ressourcen von Migrantinnen und Migranten im Gesundheitswesen und rassistische Diskriminierung. In den letzten Jahren habe ich zunehmend Projekte an der Schnittstelle zwischen Migration und Kultur realisiert.
Martina Kamm, Swiss Migration expert
She studied German, Sociology and Social Psychology at the University of Zurich, Switzerland and graduated in 1997. She worked at the Culture Division of UNESCO, Paris, France in 1997. The following two years she was Project Manager (Campaigning) at the Swiss Section of Amnesty International (AI), Berne and later on in 1999 she became Program director at AI Berne. From 2001 – 2009 she held the position as Researcher at the Swiss Forum for Migration and Population Studies SFM at the University of Neuchâtel, Switzerland. Since 2009, she works as a freelance migration expert.
She specializes in intercultural projects, irregular migration and resources of migrants in the public health sector. She just finished a publication about the living and writing of authors with a migration background in Switzerland and realized a Photo-exhibition on the daily life of victims of war and torture.
